Drawing inspiration from Cyprus’s long history as a crossroads of cultures, the vocal ensemble Windcraft Voices presents the project Songs carried by the wind: an entirely a cappella repertoire that brings together songs from the musical traditions of the Eastern Mediterranean, the Balkans, and Western Europe.
Central to the project is the concept of wind – the element that gives life to sound and carries songs through space and time: Just as the wind crosses and weaves through landscapes and distances, so too do the Windcraft Voices transcend geographical and temporal boundaries, blending traditional melodies with contemporary harmonies and original vocal arrangements.

Αντλώντας έμπνευση από τη μακραίωνη ιστορία της Κύπρου ως σημείου συνάντησης πολιτισμών, το φωνητικό σύνολο Windcraft Voices παρουσιάζει το πρόγραμμα Τραγούδια που φέρνει ο άνεμος: ένα εξ ολοκλήρου a capella ρεπερτόριο το οποίο ενώνει τραγούδια από τις μουσικές παραδόσεις της Ανατολικής Μεσογείου, των Βαλκανίων και της Δυτικής Ευρώπης.
Κεντρικό στοιχείο του έργου αποτελεί η έννοια του αέρα − του στοιχείου που δίνει ζωή στον ήχο και μεταφέρει τραγούδια στον χώρο και τον χρόνο: Όπως ο αέρας διασχίζει και υφαίνει τοπία και αποστάσεις, έτσι κι οι φωνές των Windcraft Voices υπερβαίνουν τα γεωγραφικά και χρονικά όρια, σμίγοντας παραδοσιακές μελωδίες με σύγχρονες αρμονίες και πρωτότυπες φωνητικές διασκευές.
