Misharoz Jazz Band was formed in November 2023, in Lefkosia by Dimi Shoe, Will Scott and Ulaş Öğüç. The band got together once a week at Kala Kathoumena, in the heart of the old town, to play a selection of old school jazz, swing and blues songs from great artists such as Billie Holiday, Fats Waller and Bessie Smith.
Not long after they got together, the band began to write their own music. They drew inspiration from a variety of musical cultures. From the folk music of Cyprus, England and Europe, traditional Manouche and New Orleans Jazz, to the sounds of Kongo and the rhythms of the Caribbean.
They released their debut album of original music in 2025 and are currently working on material for their second. Since 2026, they have been joined by their friend and guitarist Aris Constantinou as the fourth member of the band and they often feature guest musicians on their live performances.
At Windcraft Music Fest, they are excited to be joined by Manos Stratis on the double bass. Their performance will transform into a lively swing party at the Inn—an open invitation to listen, dance, and be part of the music.

Οι Misharoz Jazz Band δημιουργήθηκαν τον Νοέμβριο του 2023 στη Λευκωσία από τους Dimi Shoe, Will Scott και Ulaş Öğüç. Το συγκρότημα συναντιόταν κάθε εβδομάδα στα Καλά Καθούμενα, στην καρδιά της παλιάς πόλης, ερμηνεύοντας επιλογές από κλασικά κομμάτια τζαζ, swing και blues μεγάλων καλλιτεχνών όπως η Billie Holiday, ο Fats Waller και η Bessie Smith.
Λίγο καιρό μετά τη δημιουργία τους, άρχισαν να συνθέτουν τη δική τους μουσική, αντλώντας έμπνευση από ένα ευρύ φάσμα μουσικών παραδόσεων: από τις λαϊκές παραδόσεις της Κύπρου, της Αγγλίας και της υπόλοιπης Ευρώπης, μέχρι την παραδοσιακή Manouche και τη Jazz της Νέας Ορλεάνης, καθώς και τους ήχους του Κονγκό και τους ρυθμούς της Καραϊβικής.
Το 2025 κυκλοφόρησαν το πρώτο τους άλμπουμ με πρωτότυπες συνθέσεις και αυτή την περίοδο εργάζονται πάνω στο δεύτερο. Από το 2026, στην μπάντα συμμετέχει και ο φίλος τους και κιθαρίστας Άρης Κωνσταντίνου ως τέταρτο μέλος, ενώ στις ζωντανές τους εμφανίσεις συχνά φιλοξενούν και άλλους μουσικούς.
Στο Windcraft Music Fest θα εμφανιστούν μαζί με τον Μάνο Στρατή στο κοντραμπάσο. Η συναυλία τους θα μετατραπεί σε ένα ζωντανό swing party στο Πανδοχείο, προσκαλώντας το κοινό να ακούσει, να χορέψει και να γίνει μέρος της μουσικής.
