Many of us play or participate in musical or other groups. Let’s say we have certain roles and responsibilities in preparing for rehearsals or performances. We practice at home to learn our parts, to loosen our improvisations, to be comfortable with the material at hand.
But then what? How do we approach our selves and the others to cultivate a group (team) spirit? How do we sound as one unit rather than as a gathering of “soloists”.
First our intention then our “feelers” are invited. Our ears, our awareness, our reflexes, our openness to respond, all come into play, leading toward trust in both ourselves and the others.
This gathering is meant to address and apply these principles. We’ll be improvising sections of music, together in small and larger group contexts and will emphasize listening as our guide to what we play.
Πολλοί από εμάς παίζουν ή συμμετέχουν σε μουσικά ή άλλα σύνολα. Ας πούμε ότι έχουμε συγκεκριμένους ρόλους και υποχρεώσεις όταν προετοιμαζόμαστε για μια πρόβα ή μια συναυλία. Μελετάμε στο σπίτι για να μάθουμε τα μέρη μας, να απελευθερώσουμε τον αυτοσχεδιασμό μας και να νιώσουμε άνετα με το μουσικό υλικό που έχουμε στα χέρια μας.
Και μετά τι; Πώς προσεγγίζουμε τον εαυτό μας και τους άλλους για να καλλιεργήσουμε το ομαδικό πνεύμα; Πώς επιτυγχάνουμε να ακουστούμε ως ενιαίο σύνολο και όχι ως μια συνάθροιση από “σολίστ”;
Πρώτα έρχεται η πρόθεση και έπειτα ενεργοποιούνται οι “κεραίες” μας. Τα αυτιά μας, η επίγνωση, τα αντανακλαστικά μας και η διάθεσή μας να ανταποκριθούμε επιστρατεύονται, οδηγώντας σταδιακά στην εμπιστοσύνη τόσο στον εαυτό μας όσο και στους άλλους.
Η συνάντηση αυτή έχει ως στόχο να εξερευνήσει και να εφαρμόσει τις πιο πάνω αρχές. Θα αυτοσχεδιάσουμε μαζί, σε μικρότερα και μεγαλύτερα σύνολα, δίνοντας έμφαση στην ακρόαση ως βασικό οδηγό για τη μουσική μας έκφραση.

David Lynch is an acclaimed musician and composer who has been living and working in Greece for over thirty-five years. He was born and raised in Los Angeles, with roots in Ireland and Eastern Europe.
He studied jazz music with James Moody, Charles Lloyd, Ralph Bowen, and John Coltrane’s collaborator, Garvin Bushell. He has played on countless recordings and numerous film soundtracks, and was a founder and co-founder of Human Touch, Living Space, duoFaros, Iskra, and others. He has composed and orchestrated music for theater, dance, radio, and television, as well as for major venues in Greece and abroad, such as the Odeon of Herodes Atticus, the Little Epidaurus, the Athens and Thessaloniki Concert Halls, the Lycabettus Theater, the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center, the Onassis Foundation’s Stegi, the Games of the 27th Olympiad in Sydney, and Carnegie Hall. David has collaborated with, among others, Trilok Gurtu, Davy Spillane, Anthony Jackson, Marshall Hawkins, Lew Soloff, Arturo Sandoval, Martin Tillman, Milcho Leviev, “The Temptations,” Barry White, Joe Higgs, Elli Paspala, Maria Farantouri, Eleni Karaindrou, Alkinoos Ioannidis, Pavlos Sidiropoulos, Savina Yannatou, and Haroula Alexiou. A significant moment in his career, for him personally, was his collaboration with Vasilis Soukas.
In 2013, he visited Burkina Faso in West Africa as part of a medical mission organized by “Fair Planet,” with the goal of engaging in interactive musical activities with local children and collaborating with distinctive local musicians.
His discography includes the albums "Lit'l Song," "Wandering Home" (live recording from the Megaron Concert Hall), and "Music with a View" (1st prize at the Athinorama Theater Awards), while with Human Touch (Stavros Lantsias and Gioti Kiourtsoglou) he has recorded the albums "Human Touch," "Movin'" and, most recently, "Colorblind." In November 2025, he released his new solo album titled "Truths be told."

Ο David Lynch είναι ένας καταξιωμένος μουσικός και συνθέτης, που για πάνω από τριανταπέντε χρόνια ζει και εργάζεται στην Ελλάδα. Γεννήθηκε και μεγάλωσε στο Λος Άντζελες, με ρίζες από την Ιρλανδία και την Ανατολική Ευρώπη.
Έχει σπουδάσει τζαζ μουσική με τους James Moody, Charles Lloyd, Ralph Bowen και τον συνεργάτη του John Coltrane, Garvin Bushell. Έχει παίξει σε αμέτρητες ηχογραφήσεις, σε πολλά soundtrack ταινιών, ενώ υπήρξε ιδρυτής και συνιδρυτής των Human Touch, Living Space, duoFaros, Ιskra, κ.α.Έχει συνθέσει και ενορχηστρώσει μουσική για θέατρο, χορό, ραδιόφωνο, τηλεόραση και για σημαντικούς χώρους της Ελλάδας και του εξωτερικού όπως το Ηρώδειο, τη Μικρή Επίδαυρο, το Μέγαρο Μουσικής Αθηνών και Θεσσαλονίκης, Θέατρο Λυκαβηττού, το Κέντρο Πολιτισμού Ίδρυμα Σταύρος Νιάρχος, τη Στέγη Ιδρύματος Ωνάση, τους Αγώνες της 27ης Ολυμπιάδας στο Σίδνει και το Carnegie Hall. Ο David έχει συνεργαστεί μεταξύ άλλων με τους Trilok Gurtu, Davy Spillane, Anthony Jackson, Marshall Hawkins, Lew Soloff, Arturo Sandoval, Martin Tillman, Milcho Leviev, “The Temptations”, Barry White, Joe Higgs, Έλλη Πασπαλά, Μαρία Φαραντούρη, Ελένη Καραΐνδρου, Αλκίνοο Ιωαννίδη, Παύλο Σιδηρόπουλο, Σαβίνα Γιαννάτου, Χαρούλα Αλεξίου. Σημαντική στιγμή στην πορεία του, για τον ίδιον, αποτέλεσε η συνεργασία του με τον Βασίλη Σούκα.
Το 2013 επισκέφτηκε τη Burkina Faso της Δυτικής Αφρικής με μια αποστολή γιατρών της οργάνωσης “Fair Planet” και στόχο τη διαδραστική μουσική ενασχόλησή του με τα παιδιά της περιοχής καθώς και η συνεργασία του με ιδιαίτερους μουσικούς του τόπου.Η προσωπική του δισκογραφία περιλαμβάνει τα album Lit’l Song, Wandering Home (Ζωντανή ηχογράφηση από το Μέγαρο Μουσικής), και Music with a View (1ο βραβείο Θεατρικά Βραβεία Αθηνοράματος), ενώ με τους Human Touch (Σταύρο Λάντσια και Γιώτη Κιουρτσόγλου) έχει ηχογραφήσει τα album Human Touch, Movin' και πρόσφατα κυκλοφόρησε το Colorblind. Το Νοέμβρη 2025 κυκλοφόρησε το καινούργιο του προσωπικό album με τίτλο Truths be told.
