“Sounds of the Fountains” is a unique walking installation spread across selected fountains in Katydata. At each stop, visitors encounter stories both small and grand, myths, and significant historical events through which the memory of the water meets the identity of the village.
The short musical compositions by Dimitris Yiasemidis, created for each station of the installation, are brought together and presented live in this concert beside Charitou’s Spring, located in the lower neighborhood of Katydata. Wind instruments, percussion, and electronic textures create an immersive soundscape that takes us on an imaginative journey through bygone eras, evoking moments and stories from the village’s long and rich history.

Το «Άκου τις Βρύσες» είναι μια ξεχωριστή περιπατητική εγκατάσταση που εκτείνεται σε επιλεγμένες βρύσες των Κατυδάτων. Σε κάθε στάση, ο επισκέπτης συναντά μικρές και μεγάλες ιστορίες, μύθους και σημαντικά ιστορικά γεγονότα μέσα από τα οποία η μνήμη του νερού συναντάει την ταυτότητα του χωριού.
Οι σύντομες μουσικές συνθέσεις του Δημήτρη Γιασεμίδη, που συνοδεύουν κάθε σταθμό της εγκατάστασης, ενώνονται και παρουσιάζονται ζωντανά σε αυτή τη συναυλία, δίπλα από τη Βρύση της Χαριτούς, στην κάτω γειτονιά των Κατυδάτων. Πνευστά, κρουστά και ηλεκτρονικές υφές συνθέτουν ένα ηχητικό τοπίο που μας ταξιδεύει νοερά σε περασμένες εποχές, ανακαλώντας στιγμές και αφηγήσεις από τη μακραίωνη ιστορία του χωριού.
