WINDCRAFT MUSIC NEST

This summer, music is happening!

Windcraft returns to its musical nest - Katydata - after a year of forced absence, for three summer days filled with the sound of winds. Changing name and habits for a while, in order to adapt to the new circumstances, this year's seventh edition of the established music festival will include concerts and workshops for children and adults. The Windcraft Music Nest will take place on 6, 7 and 8 August 2021 and promises to offer magical moments of musical coexistence in a cosy and safe environment

With a slightly different program, while preserving the same concept, the event will present the original work of Cypriot and foreign artists who blend different musical traditions and will feature winds in different types of music, such as ethnic, funk, jazz and traditional music from around the world. The educational and interactive character of the festival is reinforced by two 3-day music seminars, one for wind players and one for vocalists, and two music workshops for children.

A FESTIVAL UNDER
COVID CIRCUMSTANCES

Despite the multiple challenges due to the ever-changing circumstances and the restrictions and regulations imposed by the authorities to control the spread of Covid-19, we decided to organise the festival out of our need to share live music in a real environment.

On this difficult venture, we ask for your understanding and your collaboration in the implementation of the following measures, which comply with the latest government decrees. Please keep checking this section for updates.

1. Attending the concerts is possible only by presenting a valid SAFEPASS:

  • vaccination certificate with at least the first dose, at least three weeks earlier

  • proof that a person has been infected with Covid-19 during the last six months

  • negative PCR or rapid antigen test valid for 72 hours

Please be informed that we are obliged to check at the entrance the SafePass of all visitors above 12 years old.

2. If you are not sure whether you will be in a position to present a valid SafePass, we advise you to wait until the last days before buying a ticket. In case somebody is not able to attend the event due to failure to comply with the regulations, we regret that tickets will not be refunded.

3. WORKSHOP PARTICIPANTS above 12 years will need to present:

  • vaccination certificate with at least the first dose, at least three weeks earlier

  • proof that they have been infected with Covid-19 during the last six months

  • negative PCR or rapid antigen test valid for 1 week

4. TICKETS for the concerts will be sold only online, through the website www.soldoutticketbox.com. The online ticket sale will not be terminated until the end of the concerts. No box office will operate at the venue. All seats at the main stage will be numbered. We ask you to NOT change seats without informing our staff.

5. At the venue, there will be stands with disinfectants in multiple spots. Please remember to DISINFECT your hands regularly.

6. When moving around, visitors are requested to use a FACE MASK, which they can remove once they have taken their seats.

7. All concerts and workshops will take place OUTDOORS.

8. In order to avoid standing in queues, the festival will not offer any food options this time. Food (kebab and vegetarian dishes) can be ordered for take away from the restaurant PAEK, which is located in the main street of Katydata village. A canteen for drinks will operate.

9. CAMPING will be allowed at the premises of the school. The toilets and showers will be regularly cleaned and disinfected, but we encourage campers to disinfect them their selves before and after using them.

We apologise for any inconvenience and look forward to welcoming you to our safe musical nest for another unforgettable experience!
